AHFC Royals Top Hill Country Lobos 2-0 in USL2 Home Win

On May 20th at Campbell Road Sports Park, AHFC Royals delivered a composed and convincing 2-0 win over Hill Country Lobos in front of their home crowd in USL League Two action.

The Royals struck first in the opening half, capitalizing on sustained pressure and sharp passing to take a 1-0 lead into the break. The goal set the tone for a disciplined performance on both sides of the ball.

In the second half, Jack Clarkson (#6) sealed the deal with a perfectly placed free kick that curled past the keeper—an absolute stunner that brought the home crowd to life. His strike not only doubled the Royals' lead but also showcased the squad’s ability to convert big moments.

While Clarkson’s goal was the highlight, goalkeeper Logan Erb (#1) was the anchor. Making multiple key saves and organizing his backline with confidence, Erb earned MVP of the Match honors with a clean sheet to his name.

The Royals’ backline, featuring Joep de Bruin, Cesar Baltazar, Yohan Bernard-Le, and Karson Baquero, stayed compact throughout. In midfield, Issaka Slaifu and Jonathan Cervantes kept control, while Camilo Prado, Patricio Campos, and Owen Lewis pushed the attack forward.

It was a complete performance from AHFC, who continue their strong run at home in the USL2 season.
