Granma’s House by JaCoby

Firstly, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that was in and came out to support the “Grandma House” project, you guys made it so much fun. I got the inspiration for this project from a picture I had seen on the instagram page @itssmalcolm, which was photographed was photographed by @polosilk3. They inspired me to create something that not only people from my culture/background can relate to but the warmth and nostalgia of it as well.   

When it comes to getting together, and seeing everyone from your family such as cousins, nieces, aunts and uncles, or even close family friends it is usually always hosted at your grandmas house. If not her house even still the tradition of having family events/ get togethers are always rooted at one persons house growing up, that one person keeping everyone together, the glue of the family.

So many wonderful memories come from family reunions at grandmas house. The jokes, laughs, music, food, games, dancing, small talk, and much more.   All these thoughts and feelings I got from that one picture was truly an amazing feeling and I hope I captured them well in my project.
