The Houston Dash continued their start to the season on Saturday, securing a 3–0 win over Boston Legacy FC and extending their record to two wins from two matches, both in dominant, shutout performances.

With back-to-back clean sheets and a balanced performance on both ends of the pitch, Houston is quickly establishing itself as one of the early standout teams in the NWSL.

A Complete Performance

The match got off to a lively start, as Houston earned a penalty after a tackle from Jorelyn Carabalí. Casey Murphy came up with a big save to deny the chance, keeping things level. The Dash stayed on the front foot, though, and Kiki Van Zanten scored the opener in the 43” minute, then added her second in the 59” after the break. Just a few minutes later, Kay Radar found the net from the middle of the box, giving Houston a three-goal lead and putting the game away.

Defensive Discipline Shines Again

Houston’s defense continues to be just as important as its attack. Even with three goals scored, it was the backline that set the standard, remaining organized throughout the match.

Building Momentum Early

Houston has paired efficient attacking with a steady, reliable defense, and that balance has quickly put them among the league’s early frontrunners. Two strong performances like that can go a long way, giving the Dash real confidence as they get ready for tougher tests ahead.

The Houston Dash are not only winning, but doing so with authority and control. If this early form is any indication, Houston could be a serious contender as the National Women’s Soccer League season continues.
