Houston Super Cup Matchday 3 Finalizes Quarterfinal Field After 39-Goal Weekend
The Houston Super Cup closed its group stage with an action-packed Matchday 3 at GFI, producing 39 goals across eight results and officially setting the tournament’s quarterfinal matchups.
Ballers HFA, Houston Soccer Prospects and Houston Lions FC completed perfect group-stage campaigns, while Houston Rangers FC delivered a dominant six-goal performance. With the final standings now decided, eight teams remain in the race for the Houston Super Cup title.
Ballers HFA Wins Group C
Ballers HFA completed a perfect group stage with a convincing 5–1 victory over Ghosttown Saints FC.
J. Torres scored twice for Ballers, finding the net in the ninth and 70th minutes. A. Colato, A. Herrera II and D. Arzate also scored. S. Ayoka scored Ghosttown’s lone goal in the 11th minute.
The victory moved Ballers to nine points and secured first place in Group C. Ghosttown finished second with six points and also advanced.
Houston United FC closed its tournament with an impressive 7–2 victory over Spring Branch FC. J. Montano Rivera scored twice, while J. Villanueva, K. Venerio, J. Rivas, R. Ishola and G. Arguello Herrera also found the net.

Houston Rangers Earns Statement Victory
Houston Rangers FC produced one of Matchday 3’s strongest performances, defeating Little United FC 6–1.
G. Baker opened the scoring in the ninth minute before E. Usen added two goals. Y. Jibril then completed an eight-minute hat trick with goals in the 79th, 83rd and 86th minutes.
M. Perez scored Little United’s goal. Little United finished the match with four yellow cards and one red card.
The victory moved Houston Rangers to six points and secured the club’s place in the quarterfinals.
AFC Lions also advanced from Group B despite suffering its first loss of the tournament. Real Houston FC earned a 3–2 victory over AFC Lions to finish the group stage with four points.
AFC Lions and Houston Rangers both finished with six points, but AFC Lions held the head-to-head advantage after defeating the Rangers on Matchday 2.
Houston Soccer Prospects Finishes Perfect
Houston Soccer Prospects received a 3–0 result over AC Juniors after their scheduled Matchday 3 game was canceled.
The result moved Houston Soccer Prospects to nine points and secured first place in Group A. AC Juniors finished second with six points and also advanced to the quarterfinals.
Woodlands Aztecas ended its group-stage campaign with a 3–0 victory over Houstonians FC, earning its first win of the tournament.
Houston Lions Controls Group D
Houston Lions FC defeated Vinotinto HTX 3–0 to complete a perfect group stage. The Lions won all three matches, scored 10 goals and conceded only once.
Houston Stars also earned a convincing victory, defeating North Houston FC 5–1. The result moved Houston Stars to four points and secured the second qualification position in Group D.
Houston Stars and Vinotinto both finished with four points after playing to a 3–3 draw on Matchday 2. Houston Stars advanced with the stronger overall goal difference.
