North Shore Shuts Out Humble, 42-0, in District Opener

The Mustangs struck first midway through the opening quarter with quarterback Kaleb Bailey rushing for a two-yard touchdown, putting North Shore up 7-0. Bailey added another score in the final minute of the first, handing off to D'Andre Hardemann for a short touchdown run to make it 14-0.
North Shore's offense continued to roll in the second quarter. Bailey connected with Kendrick Deblanc for a seven-yard touchdown pass, extending the lead to 21-0 with 9:00 left in the half. Just two minutes later, Charles Ross scooped up a Humble fumble and returned it 31 yards for a defensive touchdown, pushing the lead to 28-0.
In the third quarter, backup quarterback Kaleb Maryland took over. After a long run by Chris Thomas set up the drive at Humble’s 21-yard line, Maryland capped it with an 11-yard rushing touchdown, bringing the score to 35-0 with 6:00 left in the quarter.
Maryland struck again in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, hitting Quanell Farrakhan Jr. for a 40-yard touchdown strike, sealing the 42-0 victory for the Mustangs with 11:00 left in the game.
North Shore’s defense was impenetrable all night, holding Humble scoreless and securing a dominant win in their district opener.
