HFA Week 5 Recap: Thrillers and Dominant Wins
The HFA Spring Season Week 5 delivered drama and standout performances across the board. From the Houston Rangers’ commanding victory to Fury FC's powerful offense, here's how the week unfolded:
Houston Rangers 4-1 Real Guadalupe
Houston Rangers showcased their strength with a 4-1 victory over Real Guadalupe. Sammy Ayoka opened the scoring with a slick finish, assisted by Jordan Simon. The Rangers kept pressing, and Elvin Turcios doubled the lead with help from Ben Davidson. Sammy EKP added a third after a precise pass from Emmanuel Santos. Jordan Simon capped off the night with an assist from Arturo Alvarez, sealing the win. Real Guadalupe's lone goal came late, but it wasn’t enough to spoil the Rangers’ dominant performance.
Fury FC 4-2 Strikers 1836
In an exciting clash, Fury FC came out on top with a 4-2 win over Strikers 1836. Jayce Nunn was the star of the show, netting two goals—one assisted by Justin Burke and the other by Kelechi Onyewuenyi. Fortune Anaele added a penalty, while Isaiah Longoria scored another after an assist from Justin Burke. Strikers 1836 fought back with a pair of goals, but Fury FC’s attacking prowess proved too much to handle.
Houston 1836 FC 0-6 Siffredi’s FC
It was a tough night for Houston 1836 FC, as they were beaten 6-0 by Siffredi’s FC. Sebastian Menendez stole the spotlight with a PK and a hat-trick in the game. Lorenzo Mazzone assisted Menendez for a second goal, while Gilberto Gallo scored a free kick and set up Gianmarco Melone for another. The complete team effort from Siffredi’s left Houston 1836 without an answer on the night.
Houston United 4-1 Titans FC
Houston United put in a clinical display in their 4-1 win against Titans FC. Chris Njoku opened the scoring for United with a solo effort. Shukri Farias doubled the advantage with a second unassisted goal. Aaron Hurd added a third, assisted by General Prince, and Carlos Ibarra wrapped things up with a finish from Aaron Hurd's assist. Titans FC could only manage a single goal, unable to stop United’s offensive onslaught.
ASC New Stars 2-0 Fury 1995
ASC New Stars earned a 2-0 victory over Fury 1995. Diego Herrera opened the scoring with an assist from Emmanuel Usen, before Allison Dessaline Felix sealed the win with an unassisted goal. Fury 1995 fought hard but could not break through the ASC defense, as the New Stars managed to secure the clean sheet.
