South Houston beats Sam Rayburn 30-0 on Homecoming Night

South Houston Trojans delivered a commanding 30-0 shutout victory over Sam Rayburn on their homecoming night, giving the crowd plenty to celebrate. With stellar performances on both offense and defense, the Trojans made it a night to remember.

First Quarter: Early Lead

South Houston wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, as number 23 powered through the defense to score the first touchdown of the game with just 4 minutes left in the opening quarter. Number 85 nailed the extra point, giving the Trojans a 7-0 lead to start strong.

Second Quarter: Doubling the Advantage

The momentum continued in the second quarter when number 23 found the end zone for the second time, extending South Houston’s lead. A bad snap on the extra point attempt, however, kept the score at 13-0. As the first half wound down, South Houston's offense pushed forward, setting up a successful field goal just before halftime to take a 16-0 lead into the break.

Halftime: Homecoming Royalty Crowned

During the halftime ceremony, South Houston honored their homecoming court, with Diego Garcia being crowned King and Alondra taking the title of Queen. The homecoming crowd, filled with alumni and students, cheered on their school in what was already turning into a perfect night for the Trojans.

Third Quarter: Breaking Away

Coming out of halftime with renewed energy, South Houston continued their dominance. Number 7 exploded for a 45-yard run, crossing into the end zone for another touchdown. The extra point was good, extending the Trojans' lead to 23-0, putting Sam Rayburn further out of reach.

Fourth Quarter: Finishing Strong

South Houston sealed the victory in the fourth quarter when number 4 scored the final touchdown of the night. Another successful extra point brought the score to 30-0, and with a lockdown defensive effort, the Trojans ensured that Sam Rayburn never had a chance to respond.

The final whistle blew with South Houston victorious, 30-0, capping off a memorable homecoming night for the players and fans alike. With standout performances from number 23, who had two touchdowns, and a powerful defensive effort, the Trojans dominated from start to finish.
