  • Space Center Housotn 1601 East Nasa Parkway Houston, TX, 77058 United States (map)

Dexter Holland, best known as the lead singer of The Offspring, is bringing more than music to the stage on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The molecular biologist and legendary punk rock frontman will join guests for an insightful conversation exploring the unlikely intersection of punk rock, science, creativity, and persistence.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the event beginning at 6:15 p.m. Admission includes a pre-event reception with light bites and refreshments, with a cash bar available.

Holland helped define a generation of alternative music through explosive riffs, sharp lyrics, and unforgettable anthems with The Offspring. While building a career in music and touring the world, he also pursued another lifelong passion: science. His academic journey led him to earn a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Southern California, with his thesis focused on HIV research.

The evening will give fans and guests a closer look at Holland’s unique path, from balancing life in a globally touring band to completing a 30-year academic journey. The conversation will also highlight his creative process, the lessons he has learned through both music and research, and how curiosity and experimentation can shape the way people understand the world.

For fans of The Offspring, science, or anyone inspired by unconventional success stories, this event offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from an artist and scientist whose career proves that passion does not have to fit into one box.
