Houston Super Cup Opens With Eight Matches Across Four Groups

The Houston Super Cup officially begins this weekend as all 16 teams start their championship campaigns across eight opening-week matches.

Each team is guaranteed three group-stage games, making every point important from the opening whistle. Saturday’s schedule will feature Groups C and D, followed by Groups A and B on Sunday.

Saturday, August 1

Opening-week action begins at 6:00 p.m. in Group C. Ballers HFA, representing Volt League 1, will face Spring Branch FC, while Ghosttown Saints FC takes on Houston United FC.

Group D follows at 8:00 p.m. with Vinotinto HTX facing North Houston FC and Houston Lions FC meeting Houston Stars.

Sunday, August 2

Sunday’s schedule begins at 6:00 p.m. Houston Soccer Prospects will face Houstonians FC in Group A, while UPSL side AFC Lions opens its tournament against Little United FC in Group B.

The weekend closes with two 8:00 p.m. matchups. Houston Rangers, representing the HFA League, will face Real Houston FC in Group B. In Group A, USSL side Woodlands Aztecas will take on AC Juniors.

Every Houston Super Cup match will be livestreamed, with real-time player and team statistics available through the Volt League app. Players will complete digital match check-in using the tournament’s QR system.
