After falling 2-0 to LAFC earlier this season at home, the Houston Dynamo went to Los Angeles with something to prove, and they delivered one of their most impressive performances of the 2026 MLS campaign.

Houston stunned LAFC with a commanding 4-1 road victory, showing resilience, attacking creativity, and the kind of confidence that has quickly turned the Dynamo into one of the league’s hottest teams.

The match started with intensity from both sides, but Houston wasted little time taking control. Midfielder Jack McGlynn opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a composed finish that silenced the home crowd and gave the Dynamo early momentum. Just nine minutes later, Guilherme Augusto doubled the lead, finishing off a dangerous attacking sequence to put Houston firmly in command.

LAFC tried to respond before halftime, and Nathan Ordaz found the back of the net in the 45th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. For a moment, it looked like the momentum might begin to swing back toward the hosts.

Instead, Houston came out of the break even stronger.

Mateusz Bogusz restored the Dynamo’s two-goal advantage in the 51st minute with a clinical strike, and only four minutes later, McGlynn buried his second goal of the night to put the game completely out of reach at 4-1.

From that point forward, Houston controlled the pace and frustrated LAFC across the pitch. The Dynamo defense stayed organized, the midfield dictated possession, and every counterattack looked dangerous. It was a complete performance against one of the Western Conference’s toughest opponents.

The victory felt especially meaningful considering Houston’s earlier defeat to LAFC at the beginning of the season. That 2-0 loss served as an early setback, but this rematch showed just how much the team has grown since then. The Dynamo didn’t just win, they made a statement.

Jack McGlynn’s brace highlighted an explosive night offensively, while the chemistry between Houston’s attacking players continued to shine. The team’s confidence, energy, and composure on the road reflected a squad that believes it can compete with anybody in MLS.

For Houston fans, this wasn’t just another regular season win. It was revenge, redemption, and a reminder that the Dynamo are becoming a serious force in 2026.
