Just Play Sports x New Balance • Girls Tryouts

On December 7th, Just Play Sports hosted girls tryouts at the Just Play Humble location. Girls from 7th–11th grade came out to compete for a chance to play with the New Balance Lady P32/E32 teams and on the BlueStar Circuit.
The tryout was all about work and evaluation. Players were put into groups and moved through different drill stations, including:
Ball-handling and dribbling drills
Finishing and shooting reps in live drills
Footwork and movement drills
Teaching and IQ segments, where coaches talked through decisions, spacing, and how to play the game the right way
Coaches focused on more than just talent. They watched effort, attitude, communication, and how players responded to coaching.
Just Play Sports also has home training facilities available for development, including:
Shooting machines
Dribbling stations
Vertimax
A film study room
These tools help players keep growing outside of team practices.
