Overtime showdown for the fourth place position to qualify for the playoffs, Kingwood High School narrowly defeated CE King High School 21-20. Both teams scored 14 points in the first half, ending tied at halftime. The second half turned into a defensive battle, pushing the game into overtime. Kingwood scored first, and although CE King answered with a touchdown, a missed extra point left them one point short. This hard-fought victory heightened the intensity of their rivalry.
