Volt 1 Nears 14-Game Finish as Regular Season Comes to a Close

The Volt 1 regular season is entering its final stretch, with every club working toward the 14-game mark before the table is officially set.

As of Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 PM, the standings are still active, with Houston FC vs. AC Juniors set to play in a midweek matchup that could shift the table before the weekend slate at GFI. With some clubs still catching up in matches played, the race is not fully settled yet — but by the end of this closing stretch, every team will have completed its 14-game regular season schedule.

Right now, Ghosttown Saints FC sits on top of the table with 29 points through 13 matches, while AC Juniors is close behind with 25 points in 12 games. Houston Lions holds third with 23 points, while Houston FC enters Wednesday night in fourth with 22 points in 12 matches. Just behind them, Little United FC and Ballers HFA both sit on 21 points, keeping the pressure on heading into the final games of the season.

Saturday’s action at GFI opens with two 8:00 PM matches. Houstonians FC vs. Houston Lions gives Lions a major opportunity to strengthen their finish, while Houstonians looks to close the gap and end the season with a strong result. At the same time, Real Houston FC vs. Little United FC brings together two sides still fighting to improve their final standing, making it one of the most important matchups of the weekend.

Sunday starts with Houston FC vs. Ballers HFA at 4:00 PM, a matchup that could carry even more weight depending on Houston FC’s result against AC Juniors on Wednesday. At 6:00 PM, Houston United FC takes on Vinotinto HTX, with both sides aiming to finish the regular season on a positive note and pick up valuable points in the closing days.

The final two matches of the weekend are both set for 8:00 PM Sunday. Longhorn FC vs. University of Houston gives both teams one last chance to end their campaign with something to build on, while AC Juniors vs. Ghosttown Saints FC closes the slate with a top-of-the-table showdown feel. With AC Juniors still playing Wednesday and Ghosttown already leading the standings, that Sunday night matchup could be one of the biggest games of the regular season.

The table is not final yet, and that is what makes this week so important. With Wednesday’s midweek matchup and the weekend games at GFI still to be played, Volt 1 is heading into its final push. Once the remaining matches are complete, every club will have reached 14 games, and the regular season picture will finally be complete.
